J-Tec Material Handling is the process engineering business unit of the group, offering material handling and process engineering solutions to the industry market leaders, in the chemical and food industries all over the world. We build turnkey process installations for our customers. Our company always strives to make a difference in terms of inventively, flexibility and performance. We execute both green- and brownfield projects of different sizes with an average implementation time of one to two years.
We are a fast-growing company with an international team of more than 270 employees (and counting). We have offices in Belgium, Spain, Thailand and the US.
As a Customer Care and Field Engineer your main task is regional field engineering and you will be responsible for scheduled maintenances, service interventions and providing (remote) support to customers. You will also support our Business Line Projects with the inspection, testing and commissioning of our process installations on a safe a highly qualified level. In both roles you will be the crucial link between the customer and the internal organization. You report to the Business Line Manager Customer Care.
Tasks:
- You provide technical support to customers and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- You perform maintenance, check-ups and inspection on J-Tec installations.
- You conduct I/O testing and commissioning of new installations, coordinate the commissioning process and supervise third parties involved in the commissioning.
- You prepare intervention and commissioning documentation.
- You perform hardware adjustments (electrical and mechanical).
- You provide feedback on the progress of orders or interventions to customer care project officers or the project manager.
- You are service minded, flexible and eager to learn.
- You approach your clients with a commercial and service-oriented mindset.
- You are a problem solver, stress-resistant and have an eye for details.
- You can work independently and in a team.
- You can work accurately and precisely in both technical as administrative tasks.
- You are flexible and willing to travel and stay abroad for a short duration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of Automation is a plus (Rockwell, Siemens PLC, …).
- Because of your experience or education, you have a broad technical knowledge (electrical and pneumatical).
- In the possession of a driver’s license type B.
- You have fluent knowledge of Dutch and English.
- You possess a technical degree from a higher education (Bachelor) or relevant experience.
