J-Tec Material Handling is the process engineering business unit of the group, offering material handling and process engineering solutions to the industry market leaders, in the chemical and food industries all over the world. We design and build turnkey process installations for our customers. Our company always strives to make a difference in terms of creativity, flexibility and performance. We execute both green- and brownfield projects of different sizes with an average implementation time of one to two years.

We are a fast growing company with an international team of more than 170 employees (and counting).  We have offices in Belgium, Thailand and the US.

As an electrical work preparator and supervisor you will be involved in the preparation of the electrical construction activities onsite. You are part of the (electromechanical) construction preparation team and will take charge of the preparation of all electrical works onsite. Your tasks will vary according to the specific requirements of each project. E.g. selection of suppliers and electrical contractors, sending out and following up RFQs, monitoring contractual agreements, preparing site follow-up, coordinating and communicating with other technical disciplines.

As an electrical supervisor, you will go on site to supervise the projects that you have prepared. You supervise the electrical contractors and advise them on questions and monitor their work. After finishing you will be responsible for the final inspection of the electrical installation in accordance with IEC-60204 standards and do a handover to the commissioning team. Knowledge of NSPA79 standards is a plus.

 

  • You have electro-technical knowledge and gained experience in the industrial sector.
  • You like to take the lead and are able to manage electrical contractors onsite.
  • You have a hands-on mentality, are flexible, like variety and project-based work. You work accurately, are solution-oriented and a good communicator.
  • Like our company values you are dynamic, driven and you communicate transparently.
  • You have a technical degree and possess relevant experience.
  • You communicate fluently in English and Dutch.
  • You are willing to travel internationally for work to various destinations within Europe and America.
  • On larger projects, your presence onsite may be required for longer and you will work in a work regime of 3 weeks presence onsite and 1 week back.
  • You have knowledge of working in an Atex zone.
  • Experience with projects in the food industry is a plus.
